Senate Majority Leader, Bill Frist just returned from a week of travelling in Afghanistan and had this to say about how to stop the recruitment of Taliban fighters:
...we must win the hearts and minds of the Afghans targeted for recruitment through job creation and government provision of enabling services such as education and health care. A government that is free, democratic and respectful of human rights and that at the local level creates jobs and a better life ...
Holy smokes! What country is he talking about?! I want to live there! Can we get some of that here please?
