BE A CITIZEN
What it takes to BE A CITIZEN:
1) a CITIZEN votes
If 18, you must be registered to vote and vote in all elections
2) a CITIZEN participates in their government
You must keep your 2 Senators and Representatives phone numbers on your cell phone. These can be found at www.vote-smart.org. Call them regularly to give them your feedback on votes they make that you feel are important. Positive or negative, doesn't matter.
3) a CITIZEN volunteers
You must volunteer 2 hours of your week to helping others whether on your own or through a non-profit or charity type service.

im a mexican citizen. but then again, by this definition, i am nothing. but my naturalization forms are being processed. U S and A !!!
Hey, glad to see Citizen Alert is being read by more than just people I know. :)
Yes, you absolutely can still vote even though you're not an American citizen just yet. Support the candidate and causes that you're in favor of by volunteering.
Citizen Alert is geared toward underage citizens as well and they can't vote either, but it doesn't mean you can't vote with your pocket book or with your own time by canvassing, making phone calls for your candidate, or by protesting an issue you oppose; whatever it takes to get the message out that you think needs to be heard.
