CITIZEN ALERT v1.102
IRAQ STUDY GROUP

President Bush meets with the ISG today to see if they will be able to show the President a new direction in Iraq that won't end in us staying there for 10 years. If you are unfamiliar with this group it is headed up by James Baker, former Sec. of Treasury and Sec. of State , and Lee Hamilton the vice chairman of the 9/11 Commission.

People everywhere are putting a lot of faith in the fact that this group will save our country from the mess that is Iraq. Some pundits such as Daniel Levy from the New America Foundation are calling on the group to widen its scope to include the Gaza conflict.

This weekend on the news shows, pundits likened Baker to one of those deprogrammers sent by the Reagan conservatives to rescue poor George from the cult of neocons he has surrounded himself with.

Out of this commission comes President Bush's nominee for Sec. of Defense, Robert Gates, former CIA Director and President of Texas A&M. So, when the Texan President starts telling Aggie jokes and you're wondering what the heck an Aggie is - it's a person from Texas A&M.

Example: Did you know that there are three types of Aggies? Those who can count and those who can't.
